Gavin has 22 years experience in the delivery of renewable energy projects including wind energy, solar PV, green gas, biomass as well as energy efficiency programmes. Gavin studied Marine Science at NUI Galway and Environmental Engineering at University College Dublin where he was awarded a Masters degree in 2000. He specialises in originating and business planning for renewable energy projects at all scales in the UK and Ireland.
Cora is an Environmental, Waste and Energy professional with 22 years of experience working with the Public Sector, Semi-state and Private Clients. Cora is a Chartered Engineer and holds the position of Project Director with PlanEnergy working on large scale renewable energy projects and also smaller scale community led schemes and SECs. Cora expertly delivers on programmes of work including the development of teams, allocation of resources and budgets and engagement with all stakeholders at a national, international and local level.
Ray has 21 year’s experience in energy, architecture and environmental consulting. He studied Environmental Science at IT Sligo and Architecture at University of Ulster, Belfast, where he was awarded a Masters in Architecture (1st). He subsequently completed his Post-graduate studies in Architecture in University College Dublin, before becoming a registered Architect. Ray specialises in energy efficiency in the built environment and has delivered a wide variety of energy efficiency and energy related projects. His recent roles include as an SEAI EXEED mentor and Sustainable Energy Communities mentor.
Nicola specialises in working with Community Groups, large organisations and stakeholder engagement. Nicola has spent the last 7 years working on completing Energy Master Plans and has been working as a Sustainable Energy Community mentor and coordinator on the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland, (SEAI) program since its inception over 6 years ago. Nicola also works with larger organisations on developing training strategies on renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency, setting up green champions and green teams. Nicola is a director for Holywood Shared Town and is Chair of the Energy Institute, Northern Ireland Branch. Currently, Nicola has started an MSc on Climate Change and Sustainable Adaptation.
Liz has over 20 years’ experience working in communications and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on sustainability and climate communications. Liz has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Higher Diploma in Public Relations. She has extensive expertise working with community groups in Ireland and Northern Ireland to identify suitable projects and funding to enhance local communities. Liz is also a mentor for the SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities programme.
Karen joined PlanEnergy in 2020 and has responsibility for Human Resources Management and providing administration support to the Managing Director and wider team. Karen is also involved with conducting industry sector research and reporting while also assisting with marketing and communications channels. Karen has a Honors degree in Human Resources Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
